Well, it is hard to believe that we are flying through January as fast as we are. I suppose that means that we are getting closer to Spring although I think our weather is playing tricks on us. I don't know when "winter" is actually going to hit, because right now it is just plain gorgeous.
David's hand is healing nicely. He gave his colts about 3 weeks off, which was really hard for him to do, but he rode the fillies yesterday and said they felt good. We love it when that happens. They just turned 2, so sometimes horses just need a little chance to grow up themselves.
Our now 5 yr old is looking and feeling great. He has turned into a big boy- would make a great ranch horse and he's for sale too!
We're in the process of moving into a little house of our own. We're just plain thrilled to bits about it too. We'll put up pictures as we get adjusted.

Merry Christmas to everyone. We are loving our time in Illinois. David is doing a great job at his job and we have some good friends here that we sure do love being around. It sure is a change from Colorado or even Michigan when there is zero snow on the ground three days before Christmas.
David had a little misshap with a bench grinder- so that but a damper on our Christmas Spirit. He took a big chunk out and we had to get a skin graft done yesterday. It is a little strange to be in the hospital so close to Christmas. He's got a little cast on and should be out of it by Tuesday. Thankfully it is his left hand and really- it could have been so much worse. We are just thankful that it didn't take any digits off.
Our ponies are fat & happy. With David so busy, they haven't gotten ridden as much as we like, but we'll put some heavy duty time on them come Spring.

We are headed to IN tomorrow where we will get set up at an indoor facility. We'll be taking quite a few trips down there with our RV & our horse trailer and our car, but it will just be practice for hauling our life out to Colorado later in May.
We are really excited about this gig in Indiana and are even hoping on getting some people interested for next year so that we can come back and do it again. We love interacting with horses fr 30 days straight because that is when the horse improves the most. David and I sure do get in our routine when we are working together like that.
The only thing we need yet is... warmer weather.
